Dreary weather

If you look closely, you can see Bob entering the woods. He's on his way to his Monday class. This was taken with my dinky digital telephoto from the balcony of our apartment on this dark afternoon. Though we saw the sun very briefly this afternoon, it has not been seen since the last full moon. The locals say that this is really a little cooler and grayer than is usual for October.

Turn that frown upside down!

Look to the bright side of things. You don't have to squint in the bright sunshine. Or worry about getting a headache because it's too bright.

It's getting darker here, although, nothing like what you're experiencing up there at the 55th parallel. Personally, I enjoy the season. The fog here is magical.

Though, it's not as cold here as you have it there. Cold + Dark is tough, I will concede.

Dr. Robert's advice: exercise, preferably out doors, 30 minutes (or until sweating moderately to heavily), at a very minimum 3 times per week. Preferably 5 to 6 times per week. Remember, if you experience pain, slow down. The body will adjust and strengthen, but it takes time and won't happen overnight (or in a week.)

Be sure to consult your physician before starting a new exercise regimen. Enjoy!
