Testing technologies

We tried out the washing machine in our kitchen. It works well.

We don’t have a working internet connection in the apartment yet. There’s a “default” WiFi spot but it requires a password. As to internet or laundry in the apartment: laundry is the preferred convenience.

Language is consuming. We know so very little and we’ve been trying to translate words. Sometimes a transliteration will yield a recognizable word. Otherwise, it’s to the dictionary. We think this sign at the entrance to the woods admonishes people not to litter.

It was a beautiful day: warm and clear. This is a better view of our end of the apartment building. We are the sixth balcony from the bottom on the far right. Ours is the part that is not enclosed. The window to the left of the balcony in the photo is our kitchen.

We turned on the TV this evening. Watched Dianne Keaton and Jack Nicholson in Something’s Got to Give, dubbed in Russian! This movie is great fun—in Russian or English!
